It has been 10 years since One Direction was formed and these boys changed the music industry. Rumor has it, they have something planned for their 10th year anniversary. But until then, let's review their best songs since going solo.
Harry Styles: I am starting with Harry because he has really crushed the game after One Direction. He is so talented and has gained quite a bit of non-directioner followers since the hiatus. The song I am going to pick is a bit of a wild card though. Ever Since New York is not one of Harry's singles and is buried at the end of his first album, but I love it. It has great lyrics and beat and is my favorite song he has released yet. Honorable mention to Watermelon Sugar for just being a BOP.
Niall Horan: I have a soft spot for Niall's cuteness and I think he is putting out great music since One Direction. I loved the first album and his second album is even better. Black and White is his best song yet. It is a beautiful love song and his voice sounds so good in it. It is his latest single and he said it was his favorite song he has written.
Liam Payne: Liam came out of One Direction swinging but he has not been as promising as we first thought. He has one album out that is full of OK R&B songs. Strip That Down was Liam's first single and is a great party jam. It was played at a ton of pregames and his best song to date. Hopefully we get more fun Liam in the future.
Louis Tomlinson: Louis was the silent killer in One Direction. His unique voice added great harmonies in the band but he is having a little harder time on his own. He has very personal lyrics in his songs, but his voice is not as compelling solo. That being said, I really like Don't Let It Break Your Heart. It has a great message and beat and a great song to dance to. Wishing Louis all the best.
Zayn Malik: I am not a Zayn fan but I thought I had to mention that Zayn's first single after leaving One Direction was a real good one. Pillow Talk is one of those songs you love to hate. Zayn has a strong voice that can hit those high notes and make a song a bop. Not sure what Zayn is up to now, but he's always got Pillow Talk.
